Ethos & Values

School Motto ‘Bless us to encourage, love and learn’.

Vision We have a vision to be an inspirational school delivering excellence in learning by being creative, rigorous, and inclusive, grounded in Christian faith and preparing children for life.

Scripture   ‘Therefore encourage one another and build one another up.’ 1 Thessalonians 5:11

As a Church of England primary school, we believe we offer a distinctly Christian context where we aim to give every child the opportunity to experience a diverse and enriching curriculum that challenges each individual to become a confident and successful member of the community.

We are open to all who live in the district and we are happy to welcome people of all faiths (or none). Our school has families from many different religious, cultural and social backgrounds and we believe we truly represent the diversity found in Islington and Dalston.

BELL – The school awards ‘bell’ badges to children who have shown one of the school’s values: bless, encourage, love and learn.

British Values – Each school is required to publish information about its British Values.  Our school has based its document on the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) advice alongside the Christian Values that we follow.
